The Alston Research Group mission is to generate new understanding of nanoscale applications and phenomena, to educate the Nanotechnology leaders of tomorrow, and to serve society through education, outreach, and by making science and engineering accessible.
We focus on the fundamental and applied aspects of nanomaterial interfaces through the study of surface functionalization. We work with academic, industry, and national lab partners to improve our understanding of interfacial science and practice functionalization at all scales; molecules, nanomaterials, and hierarchical structures for improved integration into novel technology.
